Minerva Institute provides support for collaborative projects between the institute’s research groups

Minerva Foundation Institute for Medical Research opened in October 2025 a call for collaborative proposals between the institute’s research groups, in order to enhance cohesion within the Institute. After evaluation, a decision was made to support 3 projects in 2026:

Maarit Hölttä, Elina Ikonen, Aino Heikkinen and Miina Ollikainen: Mitochondrial epigenomic remodeling in early adipogenesis

Päivi Lakkisto and Pirta Hotulainen: Regulation of inflammation by miRNAs in diseases of heart and brain
