Vi \u00e4r s\u00e4rskilt intresserade av icke-kodande RNA:s roll i utvecklingen och progressionen av hj\u00e4rtsvikt. V\u00e5rt m\u00e5l \u00e4r att hitta nya metoder f\u00f6r behandling av hj\u00e4rtsvikt och nya biomark\u00f6rer f\u00f6r mer personlig diagnostik.  <\/p>\n<p>Hj\u00e4rt- och k\u00e4rlsjukdomar \u00e4r den vanligaste orsaken till sjuklighet och d\u00f6dlighet \u00f6ver hela v\u00e4rlden. Hj\u00e4rtsvikt \u00e4r en slutpunkt f\u00f6r flera hj\u00e4rt-k\u00e4rlsjukdomar, och dess prognos \u00e4r fortfarande d\u00e5lig trots etablerade l\u00e4kemedelsbehandlingar. En b\u00e4ttre f\u00f6rst\u00e5else f\u00f6r den underliggande patofysiologin \u00e4r avg\u00f6rande f\u00f6r utvecklingen av nya behandlingar och diagnostiska verktyg f\u00f6r hj\u00e4rtsvikt.  <\/p>\n<p>Under det senaste decenniet har icke-kodande RNA, s\u00e5som mikroRNA (miRNA) och l\u00e5nga icke-kodande RNA:er (lncRNA), dykt upp som viktiga regulatorer av kardiovaskul\u00e4r patofysiologi. Vi unders\u00f6ker f\u00f6r n\u00e4rvarande mekanismerna genom vilka miRNA och lncRNA reglerar utvecklingen och progressionen av hj\u00e4rtsvikt. V\u00e5rt m\u00e5l \u00e4r att identifiera och karakterisera nya terapeutiska m\u00e5l som f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttrar hj\u00e4rtreparation och regenerering efter skada. Nya behandlingar kan s\u00e5 sm\u00e5ningom f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttra prognosen f\u00f6r hj\u00e4rtsvikt.   <\/p>\n<p>V\u00e5r forskning f\u00f6renar klinisk och grundl\u00e4ggande kardiovaskul\u00e4r forskning. Vi anv\u00e4nder s.k. multiomics-analyser av prover fr\u00e5n hj\u00e4rtsviktspatienter f\u00f6r att identifiera behandlingsm\u00e5l, samt experimentella modeller som str\u00e4cker sig fr\u00e5n hj\u00e4rtcellskulturer till hj\u00e4rtsviktsmodeller f\u00f6r zebrafisk f\u00f6r att karakterisera funktionen och den terapeutiska potentialen hos kandidatmolekyler. Kardiogen chock \u00e4r den allvarligaste formen av akut hj\u00e4rtsvikt. D\u00f6dligheten p\u00e5 sjukhus \u00e4r n\u00e4ra 40 % \u00e4ven med nuvarande behandling. Nya biomark\u00f6rer beh\u00f6vs f\u00f6r att stratifiera patienter med kardiogen chock enligt deras risk och f\u00f6r att optimera behandlingen. Vi har tidigare visat att miR-21-5p, miR-320a-3p och miR-423-5p \u00e4r sj\u00e4lvst\u00e4ndiga prediktorer f\u00f6r d\u00f6dlighet vid kardiogen chock, vilket lyfter fram potentialen f\u00f6r icke-kodande RNA molekyler som diagnostiska och prognostiska biomark\u00f6rer.     <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-3
