Olemme erityisen kiinnostuneita koodaamattomien RNA-mokyylien roolista syd\u00e4men vajaatoiminnan kehittymisess\u00e4 ja etenemisess\u00e4. Tavoitteenamme on tunnistaa uusia hoitomuotoja sek\u00e4 biomarkkereita yksil\u00f6llist\u00e4 diagnostiikkaa ja ennustearviointia varten.<\/p>\n<p>Syd\u00e4n- ja verisuonisairaudet ovat maailmanlaajuisesti johtava sairastavuuden ja kuolleisuuden aiheuttaja, ja syd\u00e4men vajaatoiminta on monien eri syd\u00e4nsairauksien yhteinen p\u00e4\u00e4tepiste. Vakiintuneista l\u00e4\u00e4kehoidoista huolimatta syd\u00e4men vajaatoiminnan ennuste on edelleen heikko. Syvempi ymm\u00e4rrys taustalla olevasta patofysiologiasta on v\u00e4ltt\u00e4m\u00e4t\u00f6nt\u00e4 innovatiivisten hoitojen ja diagnostisten ty\u00f6kalujen kehitt\u00e4miseksi.<\/p>\n<p>Viimeisen vuosikymmenen aikana koodaamattomat RNA-molekyylit (ncRNA), kuten mikro-RNA:t (miRNA) ja pitk\u00e4t koodaamattomat RNA:t (lncRNA), on tunnistettu keskeisiksi syd\u00e4n- ja verisuonisairauksien patofysiologian s\u00e4\u00e4telij\u00f6iksi. Nykyinen tutkimuksemme selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 mekanismeja, joilla miRNA:t ja lncRNA:t s\u00e4\u00e4telev\u00e4t syd\u00e4men vajaatoiminnan kehittymist\u00e4 ja etenemist\u00e4. Tavoitteenamme on tunnistaa ja karakterisoida uusia hoidollisia maalimolekyylej\u00e4, jotka voisivat tehostaa syd\u00e4men korjaantumista ja uusiutumista vaurion j\u00e4lkeen. Uudet hoitovaihtoehdot voisivat lopulta parantaa syd\u00e4men vajaatoimintaa sairastavien potilaiden ennustetta.<\/p>\n<p>Tutkimuksemme yhdist\u00e4\u00e4 kliinist\u00e4 ja perustason syd\u00e4n- ja verisuonitutkimusta. Hy\u00f6dynn\u00e4mme syd\u00e4men vajaatoimintapotilaiden n\u00e4ytteiden multiomiikka-analyyseja hoidollisten maalimolekyylien tunnistamiseksi sek\u00e4 k\u00e4yt\u00e4mme kokeellisia malleja aina syd\u00e4nsoluviljelmist\u00e4 seeprakalan syd\u00e4men vajaatoimintamalleihin ehdokasmolekyylien toiminnan ja hoidollisen potenteriaalin karakterisoimiseksi. Toisin kuin ihmiset, seeprakalat kykenev\u00e4t regeneroimaan syd\u00e4mens\u00e4 t\u00e4ysin ja palauttamaan syd\u00e4men toiminnan vaurion j\u00e4lkeen, mik\u00e4 tekee niist\u00e4 erinomaisen malliorganismin syd\u00e4men vajaatoiminnan kehittymist\u00e4 ja toipumista s\u00e4\u00e4televien tekij\u00f6iden tutkimiseen.<\/p>\n<p>Nykyinen biomarkkeritutkimuksemme keskittyy kardiogeeniseen shokkiin (CS), joka on akuutin syd\u00e4men vajaatoiminnan vakavin muoto ja, jonka sairaalakuolleisuus on olemassa olevista hoidoista huolimatta l\u00e4hes 40 %. Uusille biomarkkereille ja koneoppimisty\u00f6kaluille on tarvetta, jotta eritt\u00e4in heterogeeninen kardiogeenisen shokin potilaspopulaatio voitaisiin fenotyypitt\u00e4\u00e4 paremmin ja hoitostrategiat optimoida sen mukaisesti. Tavoitteenamme on karakterisoida kardiogeenista shokkia sairastavien potilaiden eri fenotyypit ja tunnistaa fenotyyppispesifisi\u00e4 uusia biomarkkereita. Aiemmissa tutkimuksissamme miRNA:t ovat osoittaneet lupaavaa potentiaalia diagnostisina ja prognostisina biomarkkereina.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column
